Danfoss T2 Thermostatic Expansion Valve Body
The Danfoss T2 is an internally equalized thermostatic expansion valve body designed to regulate liquid refrigerant injection into an evaporator according to the refrigerant superheat at the evaporator outlet.
The T2 series uses a separately selected interchangeable orifice assembly, allowing the valve capacity to be matched to the refrigerant, system capacity and operating conditions.

Interchangeable Orifice Selection
The cooling capacity is not determined by the valve body code alone. It depends on the interchangeable orifice installed in the valve.
Danfoss T2 orifice sizes include 0X, 00, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05 and 06. The correct orifice must be selected according to:
- Refrigerant
- Required cooling capacity
- Evaporating temperature
- Condensing temperature
- Liquid temperature
- Pressure drop across the valve
Package Information
The standard valve body includes the sensing bulb, 1.5 m capillary tube and bulb strap. The interchangeable orifice assembly and flare nuts are not included unless specifically stated in the product option or order confirmation.

T2 models are internally equalized. If your refrigeration system requires external pressure equalization, please select the appropriate Danfoss TE2 model.
