The YSM Series is a semi-hermetic, field-serviceable scroll compressor line purpose-built for medium-temperature refrigeration duty. It extends the YM platform into the 14–15 HP capacity class for large cold storage warehouses, commercial refrigeration racks, and other heavy-duty systems where higher capacity and on-site serviceability are required.
Design Features
- Every component, from the scroll set to the overall housing, is purpose-designed for medium-temperature refrigeration duty rather than adapted from an A/C or heat-pump platform
- Dual (radial and axial) compliance scroll design with an optimized axial floating seal for higher volumetric efficiency
- Precise discharge temperature control, giving the compressor a wide operating envelope across varying condensing/evaporating conditions
- Calculated load and sealing force for lower operating noise versus earlier-generation designs
- High-efficiency motor winding optimized specifically for refrigeration duty cycles
- Semi-hermetic, bolted housing construction — internal components (motor, valves, bearings) are accessible for field service, reducing total cost of ownership versus a fully-hermetic compressor of the same capacity
