Kaidi GUM Series Large Ceiling-Mounted Evaporators
The Kaidi GUM Series consists of large-capacity ceiling-mounted evaporators designed for industrial cold rooms, frozen-storage warehouses and other refrigeration facilities requiring high cooling capacity and long air throw.
The series uses 630 mm or 710 mm high-static-pressure external-rotor fans. Depending on the selected model, units are available with two, three or four fans.
Three fin-spacing configurations—4.5 mm, 6.0 mm and 9.0 mm—allow the evaporator to be selected according to the required room temperature, humidity level and expected frost formation.
All models supplied on this product page are equipped with electric defrost. Stainless-steel heating elements are evenly installed through the evaporator coil and drain-pan area to provide uniform defrosting and reliable low-temperature operation.

Construction and Components
Casing
The standard casing is manufactured from powder-coated galvanized steel for corrosion resistance. Aluminium and stainless-steel casing materials are available for special installation environments.
Heat Exchanger
The heat exchanger uses internally grooved tubes designed to improve refrigerant-side heat transfer. Aluminium end plates provide flexible tube support and help prevent direct contact between the copper tubes and steel components.
Aluminium Fins
Hydrophilic double-sine-wave aluminium fins are used to improve air-side heat transfer and optimise pressure drop. Fin spacings of 4.5 mm, 6.0 mm and 9.0 mm are available for different operating temperatures and frost conditions.
Fans
Large-diameter, four-pole external-rotor fans provide high static pressure and long air throw. Thermal protection is included, and EC energy-saving fan motors are available as an optional configuration.
Electric Defrost
Stainless-steel electric heaters are evenly installed through the heat-exchanger fins and drain-pan area. This arrangement supports uniform defrosting and helps prevent residual ice in low-temperature applications.
Drain Pan
The angled outer drain pan is designed to provide smooth condensate drainage. The inner drain-pan structure helps reduce air bypass, improve condensate discharge and enhance heat distribution during electric defrost.
Electrical Junction Box
An IP65 waterproof junction box and waterproof cable connectors are used to support reliable electrical connections in cold and humid environments.
