PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Shangheng STF JC3.5FE is a mechanical oil differential pressure control designed to protect refrigeration compressors equipped with forced-lubrication oil pumps.
It monitors the effective oil pressure difference between the oil-pump outlet and the compressor crankcase. If sufficient differential oil pressure is not established or remains below the set value for 60 seconds, the control initiates a protective shutdown to help prevent compressor damage caused by insufficient lubrication.
The control features an adjustable differential pressure range and manual reset. It is suitable for compatible commercial and industrial refrigeration compressors, condensing units and cold-storage systems.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The controller measures the difference between:
Oil-pump outlet pressure − compressor crankcase pressure
This value represents the effective lubricating oil pressure available to the compressor.
If the pressure difference remains below the selected set point for 60 seconds after compressor start-up or during operation, the control activates the protective shutdown circuit. The cause of insufficient oil pressure must be identified and corrected before restarting the compressor.
INSTALLATION NOTES
• Install the controller in a location with minimal vibration.
• Connect the high-pressure port to the lubricating oil-pump outlet.
• Connect the low-pressure port to the compressor crankcase or specified low-pressure reference.
• Complete electrical wiring according to the terminal diagram and selected supply voltage.
• Installation and commissioning must be performed by a qualified refrigeration technician.
• After a protective trip, investigate the lubrication fault before resetting the controller.
• According to the manufacturer’s instructions, wait at least five minutes before resetting after a system trip.
• Confirm compatibility with the compressor, oil pump and control circuit before ordering.
