Kaidi GU Series Water-Defrost Evaporators
The Kaidi GU Series consists of high-efficiency ceiling-mounted evaporators designed for cold rooms, freezer rooms, food-processing facilities and cold-chain refrigeration applications.
All models supplied on this product page are equipped with water defrost. The water-distribution system delivers defrost water across the heat exchanger to remove frost effectively, while the large drain-pan connections support rapid discharge of defrost water.
The available models use 500 mm, 600 mm or 630 mm fan configurations, with two, three or four fans depending on the selected model. Fin spacings of 4.5 mm, 6.0 mm and 9.0 mm are available for different operating temperatures and frost conditions.

Construction and Components
Casing
The casing is manufactured from high-quality powder-coated steel for corrosion resistance. Aluminium and stainless-steel casing materials are available for special installation environments.
Heat Exchanger
The heat exchanger uses internally grooved tubes and an optimised refrigerant-circuit layout. Alloy-aluminium tube plates help protect the copper tubes against wear caused by thermal expansion and contraction.
Aluminium Fins
Corrugated aluminium fins are used to improve air turbulence and heat-transfer performance. Fin spacings of 4.5 mm, 6.0 mm and 9.0 mm are available for different operating temperatures and frost conditions.
Fans
External-rotor fans provide stable airflow and long air throw. The standard fan motors use Class F insulation and are suitable for low-temperature refrigeration environments.
Water-Defrost System
The water-defrost system distributes water across the heat exchanger to remove frost from the coil surface. Water-inlet size and required flow depend on the selected model.
The water supply must provide sufficient pressure and flow throughout the complete defrost cycle.
Drain Pan
The drain-pan structure is designed to collect and discharge condensate and defrost water efficiently. The drainage system must be sized to handle the maximum water flow during defrosting.
